My dear Srila Prabhupada,

Please accept my humble obeisances in the dust of your lotus feet.

Another year has passed...
It was 28 years ago that you left us
Of course some say you never left
But are still present in ISKCON.

You must be present in your mission
Otherwise how would we be able to continue...
Your movement has both form and substance.

Now it's up to your disciples
To inherit your actual legacy
First suddha-sattva, the combination of samvit and hladini
Then bhava-bhakti, devotional service in ecstasy
Finally prema-bhakti, the ultimate goal of life.

When we have come to this stage
We can actually consider ourselves
Your proper via medium and representatives.

Until this stage we are not giving others
What you gave us
It seems a long way off
But by your grace it's attainable

You laid the foundation
You gave us the example of
Surrender to your Guru Maharaja.

The example of preaching
At the 'fag end' of your life

The example of forbearance
Tolerating your bad health

I hope that when I meet you again
I will be able to tell you
"I tried my best to cooperate and please you."

Until that time, I beg of you
Please let my only association
Be your sincere and dedicated followers.

In your physical absence
Your followers are my only shelter

Begging to remain your eternal servant,
